Day Five
Today was day 5 in our 6 part journey. Today was the best run so as far as scenery goes. We started in north west Ionia and finished in Comstock Park. We ran right through Cannonsburg, which is a ski hill, so we ran up and down hills all day. We covered 30 miles and today we started to notice how close we really are to Grand Haven. The only this separating us form the lake is 30 short miles. We are so close we swear we can see the lake on the horizon. Make sure that you all come out to Grand Haven State Park tomorrow at noon to watch us finish out run. We should be arriving around 12:30 so make sure your there to cheer us on. Thank you all for following this week and without you guys none of this would be possible. We have help out a lot of kids with cancer, thank you very much!

Day Four
Today is the fourth day in our 6 day journey. We ran from St. Johns to northwest of Ionia. Today's run called for 27 miles and we ended up running 32 so we will have some for the bank for later. Today was the best scenery so far, we ran up winding hills and farms and woods the whole way. It took our mind off the distance and it made the runs go by much quicker. Believe it or not todays run was much more dangerous than our Flint run. Today we were chased by 2 dogs and one mad cow. Zack was running on the side of a farm and a cow decided to run after him, thankfully the cow was fenced in but it was enough to make his heart skip a beat. Zack hurt his knee running on the gravel but hopefully its nothing that asprin and ice cant fix. Tomorrow we will run 32 miles from basically Ionia to Comstock Park. Make sure that everyone comes out to Grand Haven State Park on Saturday at noon to cheer us on as we finish our run into the lake.

Day Three
Day three called for 40 miles from the west side of Flint to St. Johns. The first five miles i ran today were the most boring, most flat five miles of my life. I could see the place to finish two miles before i arrived. Today was very overcast and the wind was blowing in our faces which really helped with the heat. Our directions called for us to run on Central Michigan Railroad, this was a very nice two track road to begin with. About 2 miles into the trail it becomes so overgrown that i am running through weeds that are up to my chest and then the trail just stopped. So i had to reroute and run 2 miles out of my way back to M-21. We continued on M-21 for 11 more miles and finished on Old 127 in St. Johns. Tomorrow is a much need shot distance day because we only have 27 miles to go. So we will ice up tonight and see how it all works out tomorrow.

Day Two
This morning the alarm went off at 5:45 and believe it or not no one was tired. Last night we were all asleep by 8:30 so 5:45 was a full nights sleep. We headed down to breakfast and then back out to Imlay City for the second day of our run. Todays run called for a 30 miles from Imlay City through Flint. We started the morning out with two cool, easy back to back 5 milers. The the sun started to heat up the blacktop and at the peak of our run it was 85 out. Today's run was much more hilly than day one but it was also much more interesting since we ran right through the cities of Lapeer, Davidson, and Flint. Running through Flint we kept our heads low and made sure to mid our own business. When i was downtown i saw a woman walking past me wearing a dress and a bulletproof vest, i kid you not. We ended up covering an extra five miles so instead of running 42 miles tomorrow we only have 37. We run on some old rail road tracks tomorrow so that should both interesting and a nice change of pace. So far this run we have ran 77 miles in 13 hours. I would like to thank Tony Conley for our daily interviews we look forward to them every morning. For those of you that want to listen to the show we are live every morning at 7:35 am on http://www.1320wils.com/

First Day
Today was our first day running. I got a whopping total of 4 hours of sleep the night before, nerves are a funny thing. We started running in Port Huron at 8:30 am. We ran the first 5 miles with out a problem so we continued on running along the road that we thought was correct. We came to soon realize that we had ran 4 miles in the wrong direction so we had to backtrack. The rest of the day was hot, and the lack of clouds and tress provided us with little help escaping the beating rays. We finally finished running at 3:30 pm, 7 hours after we started. This first day was a good feel em' out day and now they should only be easier from there. Tomorrow we are running from Imlay City to Flint. Make sure to listen to am 1320 every morning at 7:35 am because either Zack or I will be talking live with Tony Conley, if your not from the lansing area you can listen to the radio show here

Night Before Run
Tomorrow morning Zack and I will being our run. Tomorrow we will start in Port Huron and run to Lappeer which is 35 miles. We are both extremely excited and running for Brandon;s Defense makes this worthwhile. Brandon Gordon was a Dewitt student that lost his battle with Osteosarcoma 17 months ago. Brandon's Defense supplies bags for newly diagnosed pediatric cancer patients that are stuffed with things they will need for their stay at the hospital. They also donate 50% of their money raised to cancer research. Here is a link to the Brandon's Defense Website. We will be updating this every day with our progress and we look forward to telling you how our journey is going.
